I'm writing a book about sirens and merpeople (yes, different things) and want opinions as I go along with the story and some support so I can continue writing! Sophia is part of the crew on the Major after hearing rumours the captain decided she has to die But as she was drowning she found a new power within her an turns into a siren Follow Sophia and her, later found, best friend Lucy on their adventures while discovering more and more of Sophia's powers. And I smell a romance between the friends blossoming And I have already written their get together scene so that is a promise I intend to keep ;) It's gonna be rated Mature when I post that scene, but until then it's off And that scene doesn't really hold any plot so you can skip it (I'll put a warning before and tell you when it's over though)

'Who would want her' she thought as she took a step away from the area Until a firm shout was called out of the crowd "5...hundred gold coins" he raised his hand while female turns around to see his bagged money already in the tradesman's hand. He pushes the container to him with the girl, screaming. She grins at this stupid idea and ran off "This is stupid, Y/n" She gather her crew to sent sail in a couple of minutes. She pulls one of her excitement smile on for the crowd to see. "I know, but it could help us with mother's sickness" She steers away off the deck and into the ocean with her crewmen scattering around her "What if you don't come back" Y/n peered down slowly to see the necklace with a piece of diamond tied around it, she looks back up clutching it with one hand. "I promise I'll come back" ---- "Come look, boss!" Joey came running into my room as I got up ASAP. I could see my mother already getting the treatment she needs for sickness to go away, but what if it was a false alarm as usual. I took slowest time ever because I been through this a multiple times. I emerged myself out in the open, squinting my eyes for the sun to hit my face immediately. The Light That Shines From Above
Heather has lived her entire life believing her mother is crazy. She doesn't believe the stories that were told to her as a child, the stories about men descending from the sky to take her. She rejects the false narratives and tries to help her mother the best she can even if that means constantly moving and preparing for the men to come back. She doesn't envision a life beyond this, never expected to leave her mother until she is forced to in the most unexpected way. When the men from the sky take her instead. *** It was a short debate but enough to push me over the edge. Pher was right. I was making this too difficult. I should just do it. I had been fighting myself on this for too long. I didn't care what he was, I wanted this. I stared at his lips as he spoke, my own tingling in response. "I could show you that if you wanted. Most of the other things you can do are outside of the esta-" I pushed up on my toes and crashed my mouth to his. My actions were unexpected and rushed. I could tell by his reaction. He reared back but not enough to separate us. His hand flashing to my arm to still us and then he froze. I thought for a second, based on his lack of response, I had picked the wrong time. Or maybe he had changed his mind from two days ago. I went to pull away, flushing lightly with embarrassment. I didn't get to disconnect our lips before he unfroze and reacted. His grip tightened, his other one going to my hair to hold my head in place as he kissed me back with more intent than I even had started with. My body flushed for a different reason now.Complete

The alphas mermaid I looked into the eyes of the alpha, his deep blue eyes you could get lost in. I was snapped out of my trance by being pulled by my brother. I looked at him confused untill I looked back at the alpha to see his eyes full of fury and being held by a beta and a pack worrier. "You are to weak to be my mate! You are a human!
