A first-wing angel who goes by the unusual name of Derek has been struggling to get his second set of wings for a long time-three years, to be exact. Jax, on the other hand, is a mortal female, who's life is hanging on by a thread, not because of a disease, but because of herself. She's in need of a friend she hasn't got, and her family is completely out of the question.
