Olivia and Max have been best friends since childhood. Even though they end up going to different colleges, they are both in the Bay Area just two hours south of their hometown, Sacramento. Max is at UC Berkeley, and Olivia is at USF. During their sophomore year of college, they are finding the deeper meaning behind not only each other's relationships but their relationship with each other. When Max asks Olivia's best friend, Maddy, as his plus one to his brother's wedding, things start to get complicated. Olivia reunites with her summer fling, June, and chaos ensues when secrets are revealed. With a want to lose her virginity to June the night of the wedding, Olivia realizes she can only plan her future if she looks at the past. Her past is a playlist of songs that bring back a sense of nostalgia, reminiscences and daydream. Songs from my Bewilderment is a contemporary, young-adult love story about taking risks, finding your place, and seeing what tune life is set in. It is a story about the possibilities in life.
