Why can't it work that way?

In an era of VR gaming, the latest software allows the game to learn, to grow. Frontier Online is the first VR game to enable players to invent or modify their own skills.

Enchanted by the idea, Ryan Harringer learns that Frontier Online will allow divers to play in their sleep. For the first time in his life, Ryan will play a video game.

The first problem? Ryan must learn how to walk. The second? Guilds suck.

Borderlands: Pandoran Warlord by PowerArmorGuy
27 parts Ongoing Mature
| Description | Vic, a young man in his early 20s, suddenly finds himself waking up in the crazy fucked up world of Borderlands in a body not his own. He's initially troubled with the situation he awoke to like any normal person would be. However, he doesn't remain in that state for long because of the many opportunities this new chance at life could bring him. The young man could've stayed miserable about the whole scenario he's been placed in, but he decides to make the best of things and embrace the opportunity he was given out of the blue. So armed with a plethora of knowledge about the dangerous world he awoke in, thanks to the many thousands of hours he's poured into the Borderlands series and a system reminiscent of those from the games, he sets out from the bandit tent ready to stake his claim on the world and live life to its fullest. | Additional Information | I don't really care for any of the games beyond the pre-sequel, so anything written story wise after it will be ignored and probably not used. This also includes the telltale games and the upcoming Borderlands 4 game that looks like a carbon copy of 3. This work is only available on Webnovel, Royal Road, Scribble Hub, Wattpad, FanFiction.net, and Fenrir Realm. Ember Wind: Corrupted

25 parts Complete

Book 2 in the Ember Wind Series [#74 in Sci-fi 2/11/19] January 2043... Six months have passed since seven million people became trapped in the now infamous Virtual Reality game, Ember Wind. In that time, very little progress has been made to free the players. The players grow impatient by the hour as external forces toy at the game's code. Many things have changed with this newly discovered glitch in the system and like a plague, corruption spreads. With the next zone open, Tangurple must trudge through deep snow to find the cure to vampirism; to save his mate. Though he may be facing more than just a virus. Can pure determination overpower vampirism or will he be doomed to become Corrupted...
