It starts with a ghost.

The past has a nasty habit of biting Natasha Romanov in the ass. In the aftermath of the civil war, with everything she had gained scattered on an airport runway, she does the only thing she can think to do and disappears. She needs time to process the fact that her family has torn itself apart - time to process the fact that her ghost is back in her life.

Across the water, under the protection of the Wakandan king, Bucky Barnes learns that recovery is a long and painstaking process, but his friends are stubborn people. They won't let him give up on himself without a flight, even when the past comes knocking. Natasha isn't the only one haunted by a ghost, after all.

They knew each other once. They'd both been punished for it.

It ends with a war.

Thanos is coming, and the earth has lost its best defenders. Natasha can't sit by; she has long been a creature of shadow, and so through the shadows she moves. Protecting. Avenging. She's got a new home, a new family, to look after now.

Thanos is coming and Wakanda is the best place in the world for a last stand. Bucky hasn't fought a battle since that day in Germany. He hadn't planned on picking up the gun again, but there are people in his life worth protecting. There are things in his life worth fighting for.

They've lost so much already, but there's always more to loose.

It's been almost two years since the defeat of Thanos & the effects of the snap was successfully reversed. The world has slowly picked up the pieces & everyone worked hard to resume their lives right off where the Decimation left them hanging. Some succeeded, as easily as pressing the play button after putting a movie on a long pause, while some were never the same again despite regaining everything and everyone they have lost. The Avengers were the lucky ones. Lucky enough to go back to their normal or fortunate enough to be given a fresh start. Tony & Pepper got married & jetted off in a private island to finally start their long overdue family life. Sam moved back to D.C & resumed his work at the VA. Rhodey continued working as a military consultant & Wakanda has never been more occupied as it became the number one tourist spot in less then a year. Clint went back to retirement tugging Wanda along with him to his farm where Laura welcomed her with open arms. Thor & Bruce were off-planet helping the remaining Asgardians settle on a new home. Fury rebuilt his super spy network with Maria overseeing operations at the Avengers Facility, recruiting, training a new breed of response team. And Steve finally got Bucky back & they have spent the past year back in Brooklyn, traveling the world once in a while & even participating in USO tours and fairs. Everyone tried to move on and rightly so because at the end of the day, that's pretty much what's expected of everyone after any tragedy. Natasha, too has moved on. The only problem is, she chose to move on alone. * I don't own any of these characters or wish to infringe on any copy or intellectual rights. I'm just someone who has a deep love for the MCU that I can't help but try to keep the story going, keep these characters alive in more adventures, especially with 'endgame' hovering, looming over us.*

She was an innocent woman when they took her. He was her only friend when they had her. She didn't understand why they took her. Now she is free and wants revenge. She wants to free him and kill those who have done harm to her and him. She wants to prove to them that she could save the world. Who can help her? Only the Avengers and apparently, her brother. Elizabeth Marie Rogers is the sister of Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America. She was taken by Hydra right after Steve went in the ice. She doesn't remember any of this. Now that she is free, her memory starts to return. She remembers Steve, being taken by Hydra, she even remembers the love of her life and his funeral. She realizes that the Winter Soldier is Bucky, the love of her life. She has to save him, I mean she does owe him her life. She turns to the last people she wants to, the Avengers. The Avengers don't know if they should help her, since they just finished Ultron and since she is a highly-trained, world-known, Grade A assassian. Steve begs them to help. They agree but don't trust her. They save Bucky and see who he was and who she was. They then ask them to join the Avengers. Bucky declines the offer, wanting to live a normal life, but Elizabeth doesn't know if she should join her her brother, fighting evil with her unnatural powers, or stay with Bucky, living a sort of normal life. Who will she choose? She loves them both and doesn't want to leave them. She can't decide, but with this Civil War, she won't have to. Tony doesn't want to work with her, but Steve still wants her help. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This book takes place after Age of Ultron and goes into Civil War. I don't own the Avengers or the movies. I don't run Marvel. I only own this book. This has Supernatural characters Dean and Sam and Castiel. This is just a Fan-Fiction. This book contains strong language. If you are not comfortable with this type of language, do not read. I hope you enjoy the book.

Ever since she was little, Kate Carson's favorite thing to do was learn. And, after losing nearly everything and gaining a power she never wanted, she had to learn to adjust -- and she's still learning. The other Avengers have no scruples against forcing their way onto her list of loved ones, ready to help her get back to where she needs to be. Sadly, as hard they try, they can't, not fully. She needs something else, something she's too guilty to turn to. Bucky Barnes should be dead, and, according to most, he is. But Kate always refused to believe it -- and she's later proven right. He's working with Hydra against his will. But even when he escapes, everything he did for them weighs on him heavily, and he can't get rid of that burden. He feels he deserves it, anyway. When this pair cross paths and realize they're in the same boat, together, they might be able to get to the place they need to be. They might be able to finally live how they're supposed to. And, maybe, they'll find a type of love they never imagined. ~_~_~_~_~ She sits there, looking around at the toddlers she's supposed to be saving the world with - because Fury, in his great and stupid wisdom, decided to put Kate on that list. She told him no, he told her they might not even need it; she told him to take her off, that she was just a scientist, but he told her they'd need a top scientist in their corner; she told him no one on that list needed her, that they would be just fine without her, if not better, and he told her this was the best way she could use her powers if the need arose. Powers. Here, in the field, that's what they are, aren't they? That's what Coulson says. That's what Nat and Clint say. The one place they need destruction. But Kate doesn't want that. She never has. But she took her own choice away. And that infuriates her.

Y/N Y/LN has been part of the Avengers since the start, she's battled against Loki, Ultron and Hydra. Now the team is her family and everybody loves her. One day the whole team disappears for a mission, half of them come back the next day, two weeks later the rest of the team, minus one. No one wants to tell her what happened. Steve Rogers, her best friend, comes back three whole months later, with a new guy: Steve's childhood best friend Bucky. That's when she finds out that her family has been in a Civil War, all because of Bucky. Tony still can't see past the Winter Soldier, but Y/N can't help but see the broken man full of pain and empty of memories. - For the sake of my own sanity in this story Infinity War and Endgame do not happen. Also Pietro didn't die, Asgard did not get blown up and Loki is an Avenger. Scott also is an Avenger so let's pretend Cassie and her mother and the Pym family all live in New York :) - "You shouldn't be here..." he says quietly. He's still avoiding your question, so instead you ask "Why not?" "I could hurt you..." he says in a small, sad voice that breaks your heart. "Would you hurt me?" you ask. He frowns and almost immediately says "of course not" still very quietly. You give him a reassuring smile and say "Then I'm not worried." he finally looks up at you and gives you a small smile. - This was my first story so I'm sorry if the writing is not too good, I'll get better I promise. Also, English is my third language but I try my best, if you find mistakes feel free to point them out. - #38 in avengersfanfiction 01/08/2024 - I do not own any characters except for Y/N and any other character of my creation, all the rights belong to Marvel.

In one universe, six extraordinary people join forces to save the world. Battles are won, lives are saved, yet, in the end, the team falls apart and half the universe's population is wiped out of existence as a consequence. In another universe, seven extraordinary people join forces to save the world... and end up saving the entire universe instead. Alanna Becker is the catalyst in a war between good and evil - a war she doesn't realize she's fighting until she gets a call in the middle of the night that her uncle is missing... and so is the Tesseract. To get him back, she has to rejoin Shield and the Avengers - and face a past she thought she put behind her. DISCLAIMER: I do not own the rights to, nor do I claim to own the rights to Marvel, its characters or universe. I only own the rights to my original characters and ideas (Alanna Becker, her family, the Vitoia, etc...), the plot and any themes or elements you may not recognize. Any names or events relating to real world people and events are purely coincidental. This is a fan work. I do not make any profits off of this work. It is written purely for therapeutic and entertainment purposes. WARNING: This story is written for entertainment and therapeutic reasons. While there's a good deal of humor, family-oriented themes and faith, the darker parts include mentions/descriptions of blood, injuries, nightmares and characters experiencing anxiety, PTSD and depression. I want to make that clear because I understand that those things can be triggering for some people. I like to write about characters overcoming these things and healing, as that is what I'm trying to do. If you relate to that or not, I hope you enjoy the story and that it helps/inspires you, too. That's the main reason why I write.

When Nadezhda Yekaterina "Nadya" Romanova Brannon Stark was 10, she and her mother fled to Wakanda, leaving their homeland of Russia to escape from Hydra. But when, at 14, she lost her mother after a mission gone wrong, Nadya returned to her old home to say goodbye but was taken by Hydra. They used her for more than fighting and killing, as she was known as the Tribrid. She and her mother were not just wolves or vampires or phoenixes, but all three and very useful. She escaped and found her father but ended up Hydra's prisoner once more. After another escape, she knew she needed to do something better with her life. When Steve and Natasha decide to join forces and find out the hidden truths of S.H.I.E.L.D and of Hydra, Nadya joins them, wanting to end Hydra once and for all. But they have a run-in with someone Nadya once was close with and everything changes. Nadya must face everything she fears, her past, her uncertain future, and her feelings. Along her journey, she encounters more pain and loss and heartbreak but also love, friendship, and something she thought she'd never get, happiness. (I only own Nadya and the characters I add and things I add for the story.
