A traditional English ghost story. After the second word war, widowed schoolteacher Judith makes a new start in a remote Norfolk. After a tough few time making friends she finds herself she find solace in talking to a photograph of a strange you girl. Things take a strange turn when items in her home start to move and the girl in the picture starts to haunt her dreams. While this going on Judith is dealing trouble child in her class and the sudden death of the schools headmaster. Is she cracking up or is the photograph actually becoming a poltergeist? Is the photograph linked to the case of the boy a the shool or is nothing wrong and has Judith just gone crazy.
