Then There Was You

Victoria Garcia went on a two week vacation to Mexico with her family before her mom and younger brother made a move from Illinois to Texas.

Victoria Garcia has been basically AWOL for the past year.
Now, she was on a flight back to her home state, to her dead end midwest town, to spend a summer with her old roomates before she took off on a cross country road trip- final destination, Hawaii. She dreaded this summer though, being stuck staying in a small town full of people who looked down on her for dropping out of college, people who laughed at her because of her weight, and a smaller group of people who kept a heart shattering secret from her for months.
Something happened to Victoria Garcia that caused her view on the world and everyone in it to change. When she left the states, she was weak and broken, naive and sensitive. Now, she was bold and wild, free and fierce, and she was stunning. Her new philosphy was this: don't let anyone get too close, do not get attached, and don't plants roots. Tori had vowed to herself that she would never let another man or woman close enough to hurt her, no matter what the cost. Love and trust were two words no longer in her vocabulary.
That is until one drunken night when Jordan Wells came into her life. An old high school classmate, but they were never in the same circle. He was the typical boy next door, and Tori was, well, not popular then. But, after a few too many drinks and a long conversation full of laughs and some tears, Jordan Wells now had one goal- break down Victoria's walls.
