Barry always felt welcome within the Justice League. He wasn't part of the core three, he was added on later. Yet one day Diana decided to take Barry alongside her, Bruce and Clark to meet a new possible member of the league.
Diana said his name is Hal, and she thinks Barry would get along with him.

In truth, Clark's problems may have just really begun. A god, an angel, even a menace; those are some of the things Bruce Wayne have heard people call the supposed Man of Steel. Deep down, he knows those words are insufficient in describing the red-caped seemly all-powerful being. Determined to satisfy his curiosity, he travels to Metropolis in order to have a face to face with Superman. What Bruce doesn't know is that more than just fate may be at work. A Future Sooner than Tomorrow
The Justice League somehow winds up several years in the future... Or maybe it's an alternate universe? After all, there seems to be an extra kryptonian protector of this time's Metropolis, one that goes by "Superboy". Alternatively: Clark is ecstatic to see another kryptonian, even if it's one from a (maybe?) alternate universe, but... his fellow kryptonian doesn't appear to share the same feeling of immediate kinship. Luckily enough, Superman wasn't known for giving up!
