A short story written for the Red Feather Award Summer 2019 Writing Contest -

To love a man to the point where he's all you can ever think of, is Arraya Templeton's problem.
Except the man in question is a fictional character in her own novel.

But what happens if he's real?

Travel into the world of a writer, who discovers how powerful writing a book can be, when she learns her characters have come to life, and their lives are in jeopardy, because of her.

GALSYR brings back the meaning of true romance as two people learn that there is not always rhyme or reason to falling in love.
'Sometimes, it just happens.'

Three prompts: Broken Key, Old Book, The Smell of Rain.

The Lightning Jar

8 parts Complete

Winner of the September Serenade writing contest! Krista is no stranger to magic. She lives in the woods of Fard, a place where magical creatures--both friendly and unfriendly--roam free. One day, a creature known as an Elder gives her a small jar of lightning with two explicit instructions: 1) Deliver the jar to a trapped faerie. 2) Do not open the jar. But as she embarks on her journey and encounters others who have jars of their own, she begins to wonder what makes these jars so special, and who is this mysterious faerie who needs it...
