It started off by killing almost half the population in a week. Us humans were scared out of our wits. The virus. It spread fast. Each and every person getting infected. No one immune. The whole world shut down. Quarantine. The economy was dying. But sitting home families got closer even though they suffered in many ways. Bonds only got stronger.
Many died. Many were newly infected and numbers increased day by day. As if that wasn't enough..the dead came back...

The characters and situations in this book are very real, if gore or horrific mental images scare you, then I wouldn't recommend reading far. DESCRIPTION: The Infection claimed the lives of over 3 billion people before the TV's went off. But it would claim many more. The problem didn't arise when those people got up and started walking again, or even when they started eating and infecting others, it began when people got desperate. In this new world, the true evil that humans are capable of gradually becomes more apparent, and a part of everyday life. Normality doesn't exist, people don't help other people. The infection moved like wildfire, an unseen hand turning the once living into twisted mockeries of life. These creatures, driven by an insatiable hunger, spread chaos across the globe. Cities burned, governments crumbled, and humanity was brought to its knees. In the midst of this chaos, there were those who fought to survive, clinging to the remnants of a world that was slipping through their fingers. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent?
