Young Jade arrived to The Umbrella Academy at the mere age of Ten. Immediately, she didn't want to fit in, she didn't want to be in the so called "family." It only took forcing to go on missions to somehow try and bond with the Hargreeves. And she did quite bond with a few. It actually worked...for a while. After a death in the family occurs, Jade makes the decision to escape out the window and never look back, to avoid the feeling of another loss.

Years later, with her superhero past now behind her and a son on her arm, Jade makes the crucial decision to return to the place she referred to as "Home and Hell" in the result of another death in the "family".

Her quick visit for a funeral and "family" drama, turns into a mission to prevent impending doom.
