"... You've got an Adonis blue heart /Tissue paper thin wings..."
".... Guess it's hard to shine as a butterfly when you're told you're a moth and that shows..."
🦋🦋
Here are some lines from 'Adonis Blue Heart' the second poem in this new collection - part two of 'the storm fades'. 'Rain makes rainbows' is something I'm really excited and proud to share because each poem has a meaning and says something.
The messages of these poems range from mental health and body image to peace to equality, and are mostly much happier than 'there's no sunset without darkness'. As I say in 'Golden Sunlight', "it looks like the storm has passed".
I really hope you enjoy these poems and can take something from them. I had so much fun writing them and got to challenge myself so much creatively. Please vote on anything you like, and any feedback or comments would also be appreciated.
Happy reading,
Lucy x
