"It's not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves." - William Shakespeare

Fawn Williams is 17 and probably the most innocent person you'll ever meet, dispite having the mouth of a well educated sailor (you can thank her father for that one). She was raised an only child by a single father after a tragic plane crash that took her mother's life when Fawn was six years old. After that as soon as Fawn could take care of herself her father became a major workaholic. He started making less and less time for her and she started getting lonleier and lonleier. So she did the only thing she knew how, she looked on the bright side. She strayed from the dark path of feeling completely invisible, to being grateful for what she had. She chose optimism. But even the most optimistic people go through dark times.

Alex Jones was 17 and living with his mom while his dad was out with whatever new chick interested him. Alex was only a kid when his dad left him and his mom for some 20 year old chick he met at a bar. Ever since he's watched his mom struggle to get by and done the best he could to help. Alex has looked up to his mom for everything she's done to keep a roof over his head and food in his stomach. He joined the swim team in his freshmen year and gained quite a bit of popularity. He's a goofball, the class clown if you will.

Will things change when he meets sweet, innocent little Fawn? Will he corrupt her with his flirtatious ways? Will he take her and break her just like his father did to his mom? Or will he salvage her and take the girl that hides behind optimism and show her that maybe she's not so alone after all?
