The Invasion

Jeanie and her family live a normal life, a nice house, decent neighbors, wonderful school, everything she could ever ask for. But one day a shadow glooms over her town, a ship that means destruction, a ship that means the end. Pods rain down from the sky. They're everywhere, every town in every state, every state of every country. There's no end to the violence, there is no escape. The human population decreases every minute of the hour, many dying each day. It's so hard to find food, what happened to her friends, why is she and her family alone? There's a noice coming, what is it? It's so unnatural.

"What if it's one of them?" Jeanie asks herself. She covers her mouth trying to cut off the sound of her breathing, she whimpers as the footsteps grow closer. Her lip quivers at the sight outside her closet door, her body shakes with fear. "Oh my God." She thought glancing around her closet for something, anything to use to try and escape. But there is nothing. No escape here. A loud ear-splitting scream errupted from behind the door. Jeanie closes her eyes knowing this was the end, a tear rolled down her cheek and-
