Willow and River are two sisters who were born to no parents. They have lived their lives with their grandparents in a little town where everyone knows everyone. The two sisters are never separated from each other no matter the circumstance. It is as though both of them are linked in some way.
Eli is a boy who finds curiosity with these two girls and seeks them out even though the town seems to be wary of them. It is then that he finds out the secret about why the sisters must stay together, and why without one, the other can not hope to survive.
