Modern day hitman/assassin, Sakakibara Lee, dies due to the betrayal of his comrade while doing their mission. Before he dies, he manages to kill most of them and permanently disabling the last one until he can't walk before Sakakibara dies due to his injuries.
To his surprise, Sakakibara was reincarnated into a parallel world called "Gaia". In here he was able to experience something that he couldn't back in his past life, with that he decided to live a happy life with four childhood friends he grew up with.
But realizing what he has done wrong in his past life, he promised himself to atone for the wrong doings he had done before in this second life of his. In order to do that, Sakakibara went on travelling alone around the country for one year; helping others that are in need and bringing equality in this parallel world of medieval with weapons and magics.
