She was looking at the window watching the snow fall. It was almost time for Christmas dinner. Her husband was helping setting the table and her sisters was with their mom in the kitchen getting the food ready. She felt heavy footsteps behind her and arms wrapping around her waist.
" I can't believe you talked me into this?" She said. He smiled and grabbed the wine glass from her, taking a sip.
" Your sisters were the ones who came to me." He replied. She turned around to face him and put her arms around his neck, pulling him in
" We were supposed to be spending Christmas at our place." He could only scoff and laugh.
" Well, it was either that or hearing two angry women on the phone so..."
" Don't complain to me when they start talking shit about you being white-- because they will." She gave him a warning before kissing him.
