Vacant. That's all these people were. If you look into their eyes there's nothing there. Absolutely nothing. All they cared about was status, and maybe I did too, but they thought that they were elite. They're all trend followers, all 1,000 of them. My school has 1,000 trend followers, that's wild. Each and every single one of them the same person, just like this town. Just like my life another year another day all the same. A different house every few years and different foster parents too, but always the same town with the same kids. This year just a little different from the last, everyone hates me.

I tear up just a little as he speaks, I don't know the last time I cried happy tears. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, resting my forehead against his. "No matter how much I push, I don't mean it. Please don't give up on me." My words seem to relieve him in some way as I feel his shoulders relax. "Even when I'm gone, I'll be by your side, forever." Her entire life so far had been like one sunny afternoon, passing quickly and soon forgotten along with all the other days that had no stand-out excitement or tragedy.
