Melting Her Cold Heart

"I will never love someone like you" Nora screams in a loud.

"I'm not asking you to love me because I know that you aren't capable of loving anyone, not even yourself" Michael replied in a calm tone.

"Then what do you want from me?"

"I demand respect from you, I need you to start looking at me like a human being with feelings and not like I'm dirt at the bottom of your shoe"

He could feel his anger rising.

"I owe you absolutely nothing, much less respect"

How dare him?! She thought.

"Can you even hear yourself? I'm your husband" Michael replied raising his voice at her.

"No, you're my fake husband and nothing more"

Her reply hurt Michael more than it should have.

"No one will ever be able to love you"

He shook his head at her and walked away.

Nora Andrews, the CEO of Skyrise enterprise could be described as heartless. Though she was nice to her employees and friends in general, but when it came to men, it was the complete opposite.
She made a promise to herself not to fall in love with anyone after seeing what love had done to her and her mom in the past.
Her promise was still intact untill she met HIM.

Michael Rollins, a single father trying to provide for his little girl with the little jobs he's able to find. In search of a new job, he crosses path the heartless CEO who in return for offering him a good job with good pay, will want something in return.
