Hannah Briggs is one of 1% of the population diagnosed with selective mutism; a rare anxiety disorder in which the person affected is unable to speak in select social situations.
Having never spoken at school, Hannah was not particularly interested in starting eight grade. That is, until she met the kindhearted Marie. Could she be Hannah's first friend, or would she be embarrassed to be around her, like the other kids in school?
Hannah had only one way to find out; finally put herself out there and hope for the best.
