Good Omens
Ralph (Crowley) and Zale (Aziraphale) were next door neighbors growing up. Both of them were inseparable! One day both their family's decided to move, they were separated, and never saw another again. Now they are both 17 years old and have dreams about another 'who is that little boy?' They both think to themselves. After asking their parent(s), their parent(s) deny knowing anyone with their names and say they dreamt up some crazy idea. In reality they had all known another, all 4 adults and both kids but the adults had a falling out. Since the kids were young they thought they'd forget about another but apparently they were wrong. Once they attend high school they end up meeting another once again and realize they were right about knowing the other all along. This starts to raise the question of what happened and why their parent(s) deny involvement with the other family. FINAL BOOK OF THE SERIES

I forgive you. Aziraphale watched as Crowley walked out the door. He'd seen the demon walk out of the bookshop a million times, always knowing that he'd walk right back in the same door tomorrow. This time, the door closed with a stifling sense of irrevocability. This time, Crowley wasn't just walking out of his bookshop. This time, Crowley was walking out of his life. I forgive you. Foolish. Stupid. Cruel. Those hadn't been the words sitting at the tip of his tongue. Far from it. But it didn't matter. Those had been the words he spoke, and he couldn't take them back now. ~oOo~ Or, the one where Aziraphale realises he needs to ask Crowley's forgiveness this time. Meanwhile, Crowley is just trying to make the Bentley stop playing Taylor Swift.
