Akriaen was one of four beasts created by the Goddess Hylia to protect the land of Hyrule. Alongside her sisters (Krekrious, Tallikian, and Sazackia) Akriaen takes a vessel and a name down in the land of mortals. During the course of time, she became corrupted by the darkness and cast down to live amongst the mortals. This story is her most recent incarnation within Breath of the Wild.

But while she knows that Link belongs with Princess Zelda according to the story, that's not how their adventures will play out. Sila becomes Link's Spark of Hope that gives him strength to push back Calamity Ganon and defend Hyrule.
