Thanks to this circumstance, certain perishable products or urgent shipments can be in time and form in the place of destination. Sectors such as express courier have managed to significantly reduce delivery times thanks to the existence of air cargo services, as well as pharmaceutical products and certain foods. Disadvantages Air transport is, by far, the most expensive one with respect to each unit of merchandise. Therefore, it is a system that only compensates if there is a very high rotation or in those products with a great added value. On the other hand, it is also important to keep in mind that international freight transport has more legal restrictions in airspace, as a consequence of government security policies.
