The number two hero, Hawks, may seem like your typical hero. Fighting crime and helping the world. But underneath, he wants it to burn. He spies for the biggest group of villains, L.O.V. After a bit of working for L.O.V., he finds something. One of the villains is a total lovebird hidden under tough and angry skin, and this red-feathered lovebird strikes a nerve that reveals the hidden side of him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In this AU, Hawks is a little bit of a psychopath. He loves death and causing mayhem. He's Toga 2.0, but male and a little different. His feathers can sense stuff when they aren't connected to him. They can hear sounds through vibrations when popped off. Dabi gets very angry quickly and throws it out when he does. Enjoy my story. Thanks for reading. DISCLAIMER: NO ART IS MINE. "I'm certain you will become a pro hero someday." Hawks opened his eyes and looked up at me, his soft smile making my heartbeat fasten. "You really think so?" I nodded and tucked one strand of his hair behind his ear. I didn't even think about what I was doing. I wasn't scared to embarrass myself anymore. I wasn't even thinking about anything anymore. Nothing surrounding us mattered. My brother could come running towards us standing in flames and I'd still need to be slapped some sense into before I would react. Hawk's smile grew a bit, but stayed soft. "If I become a pro hero, you'll be one too. Let's... be heroes together. Like a duo or something... Like partners. You have crimson hair and I have crimson wings. It would fit so well." I smiled brighter at him. The thought of growing up and becoming heroes with him made me so happy. - But things can change so fast. Someone can become a completely new person in only a few years. Two childhood "friends" meet after many years again and realize that their feelings for each other haven't faded at all. Great! But who are you to judge? Fair question. This is not to humble-brag, but I've been critiquing and have worked with story development for quite some time, and I've picked up a lot along the way. ☙ - As an Ambassador, I work on content projects. ☙ - If you look at my profile, you'll see everything I've published so far has managed to standout in one way or another, whether by leading me to become a Wattpad Star; or by winning a Watty (twice!); or by being picked as a Top 10 in major Wattpad contests (twice!); or being featured. All I'm saying is I'm no slouch. I'm not brilliant either. But I've got some experience around what can catch an agent, editor, or judge's eye, and I'd like to share that with the community. ☙ - In another lifetime, I used to work for HBO in Development and at ICM (the talent agency) in their writers' department which means I understand how professionals quickly gauge whether or not they'll take a closer look at a work and/or make an offer. This kind of insight can be helpful if you're planning to submit your work or even just want to stand out more here on Wattpad. ☙ - I used to provide critiques for three writers, all of them traditionally published. They seemed to value my insight. Read the RULES, LOGISTICS & PRIZES chapter for guidelines. All entries get a brief assessment of their first chapter, with winners getting more extensive critiques.
