Some people remember everything that happened when they heard those words, but I can't. I can't tell you what the doctor’s exact words were. I can't tell you every little thing that happened because I was too busy praying. I was too busy thinking those two words: six months. I was too busy thinking about how in six months, I'd never be busy again. In six months, I'd be in one of two places: heaven or hell, and I didn't like that thought at all.
In six months a normal person would have completed one season of a sport, one semester at school, gone from having temporary licenses to a driver’s license. And me?
Well, let's just say my name is not normal.
And those two words were: it's cancer.

Cancer: A malignant and invasive growth or tumor caused by abnormal cell masses, tending to recur after excision and to metastasize to other sites That's the definition of cancer. 1.2 million Americans are diagnosed with it every year. Annually, 500,000 people in the United States... they die from it. And 13% of people that die every year die from cancer. Cancer has a track record that goes on longer than possibly imaginable, but it's still here today and there's still no definite cure for it. So when a loved one falls into its clutches, not much good comes out of it. It ruins lives. It puts out love like rain puts out a fire. And it doesn't stop to realize the damage its doing. Those are the things that I'd gathered about the disease that took his life. Those are also the things I hated to think about. They just made me feel emptier inside than I already was. I knew I'd probably never get over him. I knew that I wasn't allowed to anyways. I made a promise. .....But could I keep it?Complete
I'll Love You Till the End
So I have this thing. Some people would call it a catastrophe; some would call it heart breaking. It also has the name of disease, and heart killer. I call it just cancer. Simple enough as it is, right? Doesn't help that I already had it once before, it just came back to fight harder as ever. I thought it was over. Isn't it though? Don't you give up at that point? Senior year and I'm ready to end my life as a person all together. I'm tired of fighting and might as well give up because there are no chances of me living all together. So as a smart choice I move so when I die no one will know me or care about me. Wouldn't that be the logical choice? I don't want pity. Never liked, never will. So don't tell anyone I have cancer.
