Scarlett Romero has spent her entire life as an ordinary citizen; going to school, getting a job and definitely not killing people in the middle of the woods on a Friday night. Until one Friday night, she does. All she can remember is acting out of self-defence. So, Scarlett's confused when she's carted off to a remote area of the country as a new inmate in Citadel Prison, a prison for supernatural creatures. Of course, Scarlett doesn't know this. In the dark about the supernatural community, separated from her best friend and subjected to an attempted murder by the prison's Governor upon arrival, Scarlett only has one ally. The unknown man protecting her from starvation, dehydration and the other inmates. The person everyone seems to be afraid of. Lycanthrope Alexander Del Porto. But he can only protect her for so long. Scarlett isn't ordinary, and her dormant supernatural abilities may get her into more trouble than they're worth.

In sleepy Willow Creek, where whispers fill empty streets and no one dares ask too many questions, sisters Scarlett and Willow have always stood apart. Scarlett is fierce and unruly, Willow, cautious and watchful. Together they've carved out their own world-until one moon lit night changes. everything On the evening of Scarlett's first blood, an unearthly creature claws its way her into life. By dawn, her wounds have healed as if time itself had rewound-but something in her eyes has shifted, something hungry and unspoken. Willow arrives to find her sister unrecognizable and on the brink of vanishing into a monster. Now Willow must unravel the town's oldest legends, The Beasts of Willow Creek. As the boundary between sisterly love and primal terror blurs, one question remains: how will far Willow go to reclaim the sister she once knew and can either of them escape the darkness that been waiting for them both?
