In the world of Theoria, humans and creatures (elves, faeries, fawns, warlocks, nymphs) used to be separated but one time they mated which created a completely new race. This race looks human but depending on the element that the creature comes from means what type of power they had. Such as; dragon would be fire, fawn would be earth, mermaid would be water and werewolf would be air. These crossbreeds then can only mate in their element to keep it pure otherwise the power of their child would end up being spirit which is an element made from mixing them, this would cause their powers to be different (bring back the dead, read minds, see the future, levitation, teleportation). Previous crossbreeds were exiled from the mainland by Earth as the spirits would use their powers for evil.
The story follows Gwendolyn whose mother was fire-born and had an affair with a water-born which caused Gwendolyn to develop the power of projecting her feelings onto her skin causing anyone she touches to feel the same, such as; making someone happy when their sad if she hugs them, calm down if they’re angry. However, when she gets angry it causes pain when someone touches her skin rather than a feeling, once training the power she can also do mind control with feelings. When her mothers husband finds out about the affair he exiles her from the fire based area that they live in, warning the earth-born of her.
Then the 17 year old girl has to somehow get herself completely off the radar in order to protect her life and her mother who would get killed if the earth users found proof of the crossbreed, meeting various other power users and creatures along the way while the other spirit users hear of her movement and attempt an attack on the mainland.
