Ginger hasn't always had a good life. She was bumped from foster home to foster home until the age of thirteen. At seventeen, she was mugged and beaten. Now she suffers from anxiety and has a hard time trusting people. Mostly men. One day in history she wishes that she could go back and change things. Walking home from a day at dance and karate, she slips on a patch of ice which transports her to the past. Something she never thought was possible.
There she learns the meaning change and hard work. She learns its not what happened in the past, but what you make of the future. Ginger learns what it means to be happy again, and the meaning of life. Along with the fact that she has had a better life than most.
Through her journey she takes on tasks she never thought she could handle, and finds love when she least expects it.
