Mia goes out not just on the weekends, but pretty much everyday that she's alive and breathing. She finds the escape to all her problems resolved by drinking, smoking and having sex.
Her problems come from her parents, and her life at home. Her parents don't keep much track of her, and don't even know if she even shows up to school. They didn't want to have kids from the start, and wanted to enjoy their life and marriage together, living on the edge, but Mia ruined that for them. They ended up getting pregant by mistake when they were just teenagers. But since she was both, hey just kinda act like she's invisable to them.
But she's not invisable around school, because she's the only name that comes out of peoples mouths, and none of the talk is good things. She's known around school as a slut, a whore, and a no-good piece of meat. Boys only talk to her to get what they want and then drop her. She's never even had a real boyfriend before because of this, just one-night stands.
Mia knows she is much more that all of that, but doesn't do anything about it. Nobody is stopping her, so why should she stop herself?
