Everyone called me princess for as long as I can remember. And wherever I go, mysterious stares follow me. I am always at the center of a crowd, and I am always the talk of the town. They know me as the girl who has everything: a wealthy family, a promising career, and limitless potential: the girl who can do anything.

Little did they know, I find the attention uncanny and uncomfortable. I preferred being accompanied by books rather than people. And behind my perfect façade lies an ordinary girl, looking for her rightful place on Earth. Fortunately, though, someone knows my true colors. This weird guy knows the real me that hides behind her princess-like image.

What would happen when a free-spirited person meets someone like me, who hides beneath plans and perfection? Will it bring disaster? or Will it bring change to both of us?

Stranded in New York for an extra night than planned due to a delayed flight, I needed to find a way to keep myself occupied, and I soon found that something. It was easy enough when the handsome stranger introduced himself to me as Kade. It has been a while since I have had a hot one-night stand, and he reminds me how fun it can be. There are no questions, expectations or reasons to see one another again. What I don't expect is our night together to come around and bite me in the ass. When I arrive at a family dinner with my parents and two older sisters to celebrate my return home to Scotland, he is sitting right there with them. Not only is he my father's new business partner, but he is my sister's blind date set up by my parents. We pretend to be strangers because things would become complicated if we didn't. No one ever needs to know about what happened between us. My dad would freak out if he found out about us because he is overly protective of me as the youngest, and with the age gap between Kade and me, my father wouldn't approve. My relationship with my older sister is already strained; I don't need to make things worse between us. Even though he doesn't seem interested in her and he tries his best to show that it could still make all hell break lose. My sister hates losing. She always gets what she wants. I should stay away from him, but it is easier said than done with the tension and chemistry between us, and we struggle to fight against it. No matter what happens, it needs to be our secret to keep.

I groan "You are, but it doesn't mean I like you being away from me in case anything happens" I stress my words, my breath hitting her face in gentle waves. "Shall you put me on a leash too?" She spits defiantly, smelling the tinge of alcohol on her breath, the knife digging deeper into my skin, I feel it's only moments away from piercing through my skin. My eyes snap to her angry contortions, her eyebrows furrowed, mouth slightly agape. "Come on, dance with me. The earth is spinning, we can't just stand on it" ❣️•••❣️ *I do not own any of the pictures used in this book, they belong to their rightful owners. *contains cursing. *contains mature themes. *focuses more on the romantic aspect, but I guarantee there's some action;) HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 in mafiamarriage #7 in ForcedMarriage #1 in mafiaking #1 in arranged #10 in arrangedmarriage #1 in fastpaced #1 in fake #1 in darkacademia #3 in mafia #1 in marriage #6 in completed #4 in youngadult #1 in enemies #1 in enemiestolovers #1 in drama #1 in spicy

The Best Kept Secret!

7 parts Complete Mature

They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice. Of course, by having this accomplishment, it didn't make it any easier for me between my foster families. To them, I became the girl who was better than them. But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one. The first choice I made was to go live off-campus with my grandmother during my first semester in college. I ask myself how could I be so stupid? But you will see just how stupid I was. Or was I?
