Morgan was raised in an abusive household, with parents who never gave her the comfort she needed. This lead her to resort to self-harm as her escape from the problems she faced. When her mother suddenly leaves, leaving Morgan with her alcoholic father, she is forced to take care of her sister, and endure the abuse she was protected from. As if life couldn't get any worse, she is paired up with the school's asshole, Cameron Grey, for an extra-credit assignment. Both teens struggling with their own inner conflicts, they come to realize that they are not so different from each other. Although his problems caused Morgan harm, there was something about him that attracted her. He was her solace.
