The year is 2666. An ominous time in history. The reign of the Demon Clan, post-Holy War. The gods have either died or gone underground, leaving the world to its own demise where it's hunt or be hunted. Many argued that if it were possible, they would restart the Holy War and redeem the world to its former glory. The Oracle clan hopes to alter time to end this horrendous life of chaotic evil by starting another Holy War, but at what cost?

Aku was 18 years old, he was also the best player of Swords of Magic the VRMMORPG which was based on leveling your character along with his skills, completing quests, fighting other players for sake of having fun. Aku was a solo player he never had friends in the game nor in real life he was spending all of his time to make his character better. Long ago, 4 gods ruled over humanity since their beginning, but after growing bored, they decided to play a game with humanity. Dividing their power into 52 cards that give humans a part of their power, the gods then disappeared leaving behind a prophecy that said one card wielder would rule over them. The rest of humanity then began hunting down the 52 card users with extreme violence, but since a card would randomly pass to another person in the world, they began imprisoning them. Years past, now in modern-day, a boy hurt and scared because of the hunt for the card wielders, blames the gods and so the Devil bestowed upon him their card. The year is 3145. Angels and Demons have been at war for centuries. The year 2268 was officially deemed as the end of the world. No one quite knew how demons escaped from the depths of hell.
