The date is May 24th 2014 and MaKayleigh Austin is pretty damn proud of herself. MaKayleigh is a lot of things, not one of them being conceited but looking at what she's just created, it's pretty obvious that she's going to gain a whole lot of self esteem points. It's not even like she had meant to stumble upon the book, really. She was just looking through her step fathers old boxes that he had labeled 'junk' when she found it. Laughing to herself, she decided to read it, because, what could it hurt? Little did she know that in just a few weeks, that book would be the reason she's in some really deep shit. But that's not a story to be told right now. It will get told, but not just yet. So yes, May 24th 2014 is a big, no wait, huge day for MaKayleigh. Her talent for science never ceased to amaze her parents and her best friend, but even this is bigger than anything they could have ever thought possible. Today MaKayleigh has done what only seemed to be real in her wildest fantasies. Today, MaKayleigh has built The Way Back.
