1963, Broekean Lane, Georgia Cricket Gracie Camehl's mother is missing, her grandma claims she ran out on the family, Cricket isn't so sure. After the tragedy, her father's mental state deteriorated and now she must take care of him and her cruel ailing Grandmother who lives with them. The police have been "searching" for years but haven't gotten a single lead, and after Cricket finds an old box belonging to her mother in the attic, she decides to go out on her own and bring her mother home.
