The Violet-Backed Starling

A boy struggles with a mental disorder that requires medicinal treatment to keep symptoms under control. As he continues to hide his pills, his symptoms worsen to the point of severe delusion. Throughout this descent into illness, he remembers adverse events from his past, including an abusive father and a highly unrepresentative form of Christianity.
