An epilogue to the classic Star Trek TOS episode, "Amok Time", in which Captain Kirk's first officer, Mr. Spock, finds his suppressed emotions raging out of control, until Kirk risks his career to return Spock to his home planet, Vulcan. There Spock prepares to marry T'Pring, betrothed to him since childhood. But T'Pring insists that Spock fight to the death for her, and chooses Kirk as his opponent. Kirk and Spock escape with a clever ruse that deceives even the incisive Vulcan ruler, T'Pau.
Or so they assumed ...
