When Jeno happens upon his betrothed, his destined love, he is not only shocked but disgusted at the way he is being treated. He does what he can to help but Renjun's pride is too strong. It hurts a little that he can't see him for what he is and not just someone trying to show pity. Renjun is proud and self sufficient. The thought of depending on anyone is one that he will never accept, or so he thinks. He quickly finds that when it's the right person, it is ok to depend on them.
