Camp Eagle Ridge was where it all started.

At the age of fifteen, Darcy Quinn was sent to Camp Eagle Ridge, a camp for delinquents and the troubled over the summer of 2009. When the summer ends in tragedy, Darcy, along with five other teenagers, vowed to never speak about what really happened that night and to never see each other again.

Now nearly a decade later, a heartbroken Darcy Quinn must come to terms with what really happened that summer when she, along with her former friends, are dragged into the middle of a murder investigation as the primary suspects.

Everyone had secrets. And there are no secrets that time doesn't reveal.

Brayden gave her a strange look."-we could be friends. This is my cousin, Ares Ceresio."

Her eyes widened at the familiarity of the name. She looked at Ares, who avoided eye contact with her.

Sometimes you're better of not being left in the dark, because what you don't know... could hurt you. ★ EVERYTHING WAS A LIE. She'd been an expert at getting people to feel for her. I was so embarrassed to be her son sometimes. "You're ridiculous Cathy..." I said my voice full of defeat. She was smirking, looking away from me but I could see she wasn't concentrating. Sighing and feeling furious I picked up my keys from the flower pot where I'd put it and stormed of to my car. "Yeah go you stupid boy! You were always useless anyway!" I heard her scream before I drove off. It was comments like this that hurt but I kept it to myself, I didn't know who to tell if I decided to anyway. The story of my life.★ ★"Have you reached a verdict?" "We have your honour." The jury foreman responds. This is it. This is the moment that, as cliché as it sounds, we have all been waiting for. Everything had to be okay after this. It had to...★ Don't bother questioning about how much you know , it's what you don't know that's important. While her best friend Cassidy snacks on brie and boys in France, Darcy Li-Quinn must face her last year of high school and the unpredictable wrath of her sister, Danica, alone. Darcy's plan for dealing with Danica and her heinous friends is simple-be invisible. But first, she's promised Cassidy she'll do 'one brave thing'. Mustering the courage to say 'hi' to the cute boy on the bus, Darcy expects rejection or indifference. She doesn't anticipate a grumpy ghost with unfinished business who needs her help. Suddenly, a quiet year of flying under the radar looks increasingly unlikely. *** Rationally, Hunter Viera knows that his brother's death wasn't his fault. But that doesn't stop his guilt about Archer invading his every thought or lessen the grief sitting heavy in his chest. Changing schools offers a fresh start, and Hunter's plan is simple-be invisible. But he hasn't counted on Darcy, or her ludicrous claim that Archer speaks to her from beyond the grave. Suddenly, a quiet year of sitting on the sidelines looks increasingly unlikely. *** This is a story about hearts and hope and public transport. This is Darcy and Hunter's story (and a little bit Archer's too). *** 'Get A Life' is my entry for Open Novella Contest 2023 and is inspired by the following prompts. 20. You finally build enough courage to talk to that cute someone you see every day on the bus. Their face turns dark as they respond "You shouldn't be able to see me." 9. There's an urban legend that's been circulating for years about a taxi cab that doesn't take you where you want to go, but where you need to go. One night, you stepped into this cab.

✨COMPLETED✨ I took a few steps before I stopped to face him again. "Jay?" I said, barely above a whisper. "Hmm?" "I love you. You know that right?" I asked, kind of unsure. "of course. Of course I do." He said, scrunching his eyebrows as if he doesn't understand why I would randomly say that. "I love you very much." I repeated, every bone in my body aching from this pain, this betrayal. What I'm doing, or going to do, is definitely some form of betrayal. But I don't have a choice, right? He needs to understand that I don't have a choice. Or do I? "I do too. But...Why are you saying it like that?" He asked, feeling a little anxious. "Like what?" I replied, praying to dear God he doesn't say something that'll make me cry. "Like you're saying goodbye." 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Alexis Pierce is just another high school clumsy story. She falls and trips over random stuff, says the weirdest words ever, but she is one of the smartest would-be detectives out there. One random day, she gets thrown into her school basement and almost dies. Then from there on out - her worst nightmares came to life one by one. She gets kidnapped and terrorized by people she would've never expected, she gets threatened in the worst way and in that journey - she discovers what true friendship and sacrifice meant. Join her on her journey of friendship, love, and sacrifice. A little crime here and there and a little love sprinkled on top.
