The Thorn Tree of Julian Parker

Max Williams is a superstar soccer player, the town's golden boy. He's on a fast track to sports stardom until he's met with a brutal accident, leaving his leg shattered. Facing social suicide and disappointment from his parents, Max wanders lost amongst his own thoughts and twisted feelings.

Julian Parker is the renown bad boy, distant and aloof. He doesn't talk to people, writes poetry and is often praised for his artworks. People know to stay away from him and his past. However, when he sees Max in need of a true companion, he finds himself drawn to him against all his instincts.

When the two boys find out they have more in common than they originally thought, Max lets Julian into the part of his life he has never shown anyone. With Max's secret, and one of Julian's brilliant ideas, they begin working on a life-changing project while balancing schoolwork, friendships, and their slow budding love.
