Bree Carter has grown up in the hunting life, and she hasn't always found it easy to cope. But with her husband, Austin, by her side, she's found that even living the life of a hunter doesn't always have to be difficult. When Austin dies, Bree finds her life turned upside-down, her spirit crumbling with it. Sam and Dean Winchester move her into the bunker as she finds her will to live slowly diminish, Sam becoming her rock she tries to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. Will she forever remain broken or will she once more discover the joy of being alive?
