In my eyes, the world is silent. Something drops, silence. Something shatters, silence. Something breaks, still silence. But it hasn't always been this way: on my 13th birthday, the world went silent. I can't hear the birds chirping during the day, or the wind howling during the night. I can't even hear you speak, sing or even breathe. So yes, I'm deaf, and the world around me is always quiet...
