Stormkit is just like the other cats. Except he can see dead cats. The curse was brought down upon centries and centries of Stormkit's family and they all were reportedly insane. Now, the curse was brought down on Stormkit and he was chosen to be a dark forest warrior.

Meanwhile, Stormkit's father, Brackentail, is facing a difficult choice between two cats that he loves. One from a different clan and one from the same clan as him. After a mysterious dead cat saved Brackentail, he is questioning everything...

He had no problems following this rule until he sees the beautiful SunClan medicine cat, Poppyfur. Branchfur forgets this code, but when he learns that Poppyfur loves her Clan more than him, he does everything he can to make sure she regrets her choice.
