There have always been four clans: horse, goat, cats and dogs. Ever since Neko joo was little all she could remember was "The War of Cats and Dogs". In the war the goats went extinct, trying to make peace. The Cat clan lost both King and Queen making Cat clan lose, and Neko joo heir, her their last hope. In the war Neko joo seen a boy in a bush, a dog. That changed her life ever since.

Although the stories of ForestClan and IceClan will go alongside the main plots of the books, they have their own struggles and prophecies.
