The people of Skalach have always been beautiful people, with golden hair and pure white wings, they were breath taking, it was paradise. They have only known one thing in their entire lives. Stay.

They know nothing of what lies under the clouds. Ever since the supposed day the floating islands have appeared, they have stayed in their island. Stayed in the sky. Stayed here. But one boy, just couldn't accept that.

Taehyung was the Kingdom records keeper. He has read every book and every scripture there is to read in their tiny world. But he was never satisfied, he wanted more. To spread his wings and fly off. Dreamed for more yet he never had the guts to leave. What he needed was a little push. Just a little.

Marithyda Skyelorn has barely managed to escape Magus Opté with three of the four Magestones in her grasp, and the Empress's army encroaches. ***** Reeling from Sabin's betrayal and Rumiya's damning prophecy, Marithyda is determined to realize the full extent of her power and put a stop to the enslavement of her kind - no matter what it takes. However, the kingdom that Marithyda left behind has become all but unrecognizable in her absence. Marithyda and a grief-stricken Queen Taileen Winship must put their rivalry aside to save the land and the people that they love, learning that some forms of powerful magic are hidden for a reason.
