what is love?

A story i was inspired to write in the late hours of the evening.

Mildred Nite, A christian girl who had come from a relatively wealthy family from britain, has come to france in hopes of a better life concerning the events that took place back at her hometown.

Locked in her room twenty-four-seven from her mother to protect her from the dangers of the outside world, not much was there to enlighten her. she stuck with books. Lots of them.

The reading got her thinking when her love might come and cradle her away and take her on adventurous horsebacks, or adoring picnics under the moonlight, but then again she was never taught the true essence of such invisible manners. She was showered in riches but never the true comfort of a mother's kiss, or that of a father's beneficial advice. She was taught that kisses, touching, and any sort of physical contact were only to be done when you've married and that it would be a sin to have done so before marriage. But is that really the truth? Not until she finds some words from her favorite book missing. She read and re-read a few books about love to try and understand, but really.
