My father once said to me, "This universe we live in is tricky. It never gives us exactly what we want but always shows us who we need." Granted, he was coming out of anesthesia after leg surgery and was pretty loopy and doesn't remember saying this at all. I live every day hoping that it's true but I'm always at war in my own head thinking that it probably isn't. Main Characters- Luukas is 17 and he's doing pretty well considering he recently survived a second suicide attempt. Out of the hospital and on his way home but he's already worrying that there will be a third time. His favorite book is They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. Even though he has a permanently gloomy outlook on life he wants to find love. Current songs on repeat are Young Love by Eli Lieb, Sad Song by We The Kings, and Ashes by Celine Dion. Emitherios (aka Bailey) is 19 and wants nothing to do with his biological family or his adoptive family. He's on his own now but starting when he was 14 hey had kept him at a military academy, then a wilderness program, then a boys ranch for over four years. He's been on his own for over a year and he's looking for someone he can trust. He looks like he's got it all figured out, but he definitely does not. Theme- Luukas and Emitherios (Em for short) are teenage boys that find each other and then work to come together.
