My Match

Every time I look into his shimmering blue eyes, my heart skips a beat. Every time I feel the gentle touch, my heart feels like it's going to explode. Every time I hear his angelic laughs, I feel my stomach tie itself in knots. Every time I see the sadness in his eyes, my heart breaks. Every time I see his smile, my heart melts.

He reaches for my hand as we walk along the beach watching the beautiful sunset. I can feel something is up with him. He is acting differently. He is being standoffish and I don't like it. I look up at him to realize I am staring into those blue orbs of a mystery, I can see something is there but I can't quite understand what it is. We stare at each other for what seems like years. He finally breaks the silence, "Allison, you know I love you, right?"

I get a confused look on my face, he smiles at me and boy my stomach loves that. It ties itself up and I can't get it to stop. I am still looking into his eyes when I break the staring contest to look out into the ocean. "Yes Jake, of course, I know you love me. Why?"
