We all have watched The Walking Dead, we all know of Rick, Carl, Daryl and the others. We know how their story's started and how some of them ended. But what about other survivors, this is one of those story's.

What happens when a woman loses the love of her life? Does she get up, heal, and move on? What happens when that husband knew something bad could happen, would happen and wanted to make sure that his wife was safe. Before he left this world he made sure that she would always be able to take care of herself.

Follow her story, of the woman who lost a lot, but had so much more to keep safe.

Before the world ended she owned and, after her husband died, single-handedly ran a foster home. Read as she along with her eight foster kids and a few stragglers along the way, try and make it to a large compound that they call their summer home.

Will they run into any familiar faces along the way? Will a new love story began, or is her heart still broken from her lost love.
