In December, 2031; a virus starts putting people into the Dream state; an alternate universe. The worldwide pandemic caused mass panic for the remaining uninfected humans.
Midnight, a boy who wants to experience a new life becomes infected with the virus and falls into the Dream state. As he overcomes the challenges he faces; he becomes a champion and is given the power known as a Scar.
During the Dream state he makes new friends and meets strangers who he tries to protect from the dangers of the Dream state; as well as looking after his cousin, Echo.
Will Midnight use his power of the Scar to free the people who are trapped in the Dream state?
Can he find out more about the truth behind the Dream state? The Scars? Or his own family?
What will happen when he learns about the Dawnbreaker and it's true purpose? What if it learns about him?
