"THE VOID, THE VOID!" her cackling laugh echoes through the room. "It's going to kill us all..." her now shockingly calm demeanor cuts through the room. "I'm sorry... I-I can't think properly. It's getting to me" the now seeming calm lady continues.  "I'm sorry. I'm a danger to everyone. I never told anyone but I have the burns. It started as a freckle of it, but it became much larger and as it spreads I can feel myself losing it. It took a year to get this bad. There could be more like me. People always say the world is unkind, if that were true we'd all be dead... It's our fault, you know? We tore our universe to shreds until it had to save itself. Dimension hopping, time travel, going to other galaxies. It takes a toll... and we paid it. I guess the universe took pity on our pathetic species and saved those under 20. It gave us a chance to start over. Ever notice that the people around you are all kind, anyone it saw as 'corrupt' were wiped out too. I did some things I regret before the apocalypse. Nothing to serious but I'm pretty sure you had to be 'pure' to survive. The older generations had more time to be corrupted, no one keeps their innocence past 20 I suppose. It's the the void of generations. "
